Description: For this video, we went down to Pohang Seafood to destroy a $700 Korean Wagyu Beef BBQ! Pohang Seafood is a new specialty Korean cuisine restaurant that flies in fresh Korean sashimi while having a butchery next door that sells affordable beef and pork. For $10 per person, you can enjoy 8 free-flow sides and the ability the grill the meat there. They offer 100g of Australian Wagyu Ribeye for eye-catching $13.50. With this in mind, instead of a sashimi challenge, we opted for a fully Wagyu Beef BBQ. We let our host, James, pick from the wide selection of meat they had. The final selection was an array of supremely-marbled short ribs, ribeyes and shank tails, coming up to around $700 and weighing 3KG. Cooking live while eating was rather difficult, so I got Mervin to help me out. The Wagyu meat was magical. It was tender, rich and deep with meaty flavour. We really could not have enough. The sides were better than most Korean places, with the bean paste soup standing out. They offered a mildly sweet onion sauce that complemented the meat well, cutting through the fattiness. We wanted to eat a lot more but because we had to cook, eat and film, we were taking much too long and did not want to occupy the space more than necessary. Pohang also offers exceptional seafood, which our friend Megan (@meggychiaaaa) tried and gave a big thumbs up to. Their tuna came in 3 different cuts, each fattier than the one before, with the last one close to melting in your mouth.
